Arsenal sa stal víťazom turnaja Premier League Asia Trophy, keď vo finále zdolal Everton 3:1. Tretie miesto obsadilo Stoke City, ktoré zdolalo výber Singapuru 2:0.Skóre zápasu otvoril Theo Walcott, v druhom polčase vedenie Arsenalu ešte zveľadili Santi Cazorla a Mesut Ozil. Zápas už bol prakticky rozhodnutý a Arsenal poľavil v nasadení, čo dokázal využiť Ross Barkley a strelil čestný úspech Karameliek. V bráne Arsenalu debutoval český reprezentačný brankár Petr Čech.
